Key West Powerboat Races
November was full of excitement in Key West with the 31st annual Powerboat Races in town. The weather was warm and beautiful, a perfect week for all of our out of town visitors to enjoy watching the races from the mole pier or right from their balconies in Truman Annex! There were festivities all week, including a parade of boats down Duval Street on Veterans Day, race boats on display all week, and three full days of racing.
Congratulations to first place winners: CMS (Superboat Unlimited), Instigator (Superboat Vee Extreme), Miss Geico (Turbine Class), Warpaint (Supercat 750), JD Byrider (Supercat 850), Stihl (Super Cat), Watch Your Back (Superboat Vee Limited), Peters & May (Superboat Stock), Ukrainian Spirit (Manufacturers P-1), Hawaiian Tropic (Manufacturers P-2), Seagull (Manufacturers P-3), Reinforcer (Manufacturers P-4). Thank you from all of us spectators for a great week of racing!
The next boating extravaganza will be held in January, when the sailboats come to town for the 25th anniversary of Key West Race Week from January 16th – 20th. Call us today, don’t miss your opportunity to stay in beautiful Truman Annex, just moments from the water and all of the racing activities!
