Shipyard Condominiums are located in the prestigious gated community of Truman Annex in Key West’s old town area. The condos are located 2 blocks from Duval Street and all the Old Town Key West attractions. The properties are also ¼ mile from Fort Zachary Taylor State Park. The property is outfitted with washer/dryer, pots/pans, towels, linens, have central air conditioning, off street parking, and pool access. This home is a 2 level townhouse. Pelican’s Perch is a tropical, Caribbean-themed cottage that has been completely renovated from top to bottom. The kitchen is equipped with Stainless Steel Appliances. Life is full of choices, but when staying at Pelican’s Perch, the choices are much more fun. Take a three-minute walk to Duval Street for dining and entertainment, a five-minute walk to Sunset Pier, a 10-minute walk to Fort Taylor beach, a one-minute walk to the Truman Annex pool or, simply stay put and relax. When choosing to relax, Pelican’s Perch is an oasis in itself. Situated on one of Key West’s most beautiful streets, its front porch is a great place to watch the world go by. Two white rocking chairs occupy its raised porch, allowing for a great view of parades and people watching. For those moments when you want to catch some rays, read or dine in peace and quiet, the back porch is one of the largest, quietest and most private in the entire Truman Annex. Surrounded by trees, it overlooks a tropical park, has two lounge chairs and a dining table with room for six. Inside, you can enjoy three flat-screen televisions, wireless internet, brand new tropical Caribbean furnishings and art. New orthopedic mattresses include one of the few king-sized mattresses in Truman Annex. When it’s time to cook that fresh catch, Pelican’s Perch features a gas grill, fully-equipped kitchen, and a choice of an indoor or outdoor dining area. This is the perfect cottage for the selective renter. Pets may be considered with 28 + day stays

Our first time in Key West and we loved it! The house was wonderful from the front porch to the spacious back deck. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. It was perfectly located so we were able to walk everywhere! Will definitely be back!

Pelican’s Perch
We recently stayed at Pelican’s Perch and had a wonderful time. The unit was clean and the location was perfect! We loved the back deck and being able to use the grill. Compass Realty was wonderful to work with and even went out of their way to mail our car keys that we left behind in the unit. Amazing customer service!

Pelican's Perch review
We had a great week. The place was nice, kitchen very small but we were not cooking. The new rugs in living room were a fall risk due to the ends not lying flat on floor, had to be very careful. Upstairs fan did not work. Location is fantastic, we stay in the general area most of our trips to Key West. Pool was very nice, large and close. In general a great experience.

Beautiful unit in a great location on Southard Street. Nice front porch, but the back porch was very sizable and comfortable with a grill (which we didn;t use).

Pelican's Perch
The location was very convenient. Close to the pool, close to Truman ParkThere were a number of little things that need attention which we made Compass aware of. The condition of the deck was the major issue as it was actually a safety issue. However the deck is scheduled to be replaced. The bathroom showers were very nice. The kitchen was too small for us since we like to cook in sometimes. It is basically a one person kitchen. All in all however the unit is nice and comfortable.

We've been coming to Key West for several years. Always stayed in the Truman Annex area. Most of the stays have been in the Shipyard Condos. Great place overall. Pelican's Perch was great for our first two week stay. We usually only stay one week. We had family come in at different times throughout our stay. The only thing I can say is the kitchen being small was a little difficult. Hard to cook in. Great showers and the beds were comfy. Location is perfect.

Comfortable cottage
We stayed in Pelicans Perch for 1 week. The bathrooms with walk-in showers were great. Also enjoyed the deck. Nice outdoor furniture for lounging and eating. We used the 1st floor bedroom. The sheets on the bed were very thin and worn snd should be replaced. The closet needs to be cleaned out so the guests can use the shelf and the floor space. The living room rugs and couch need to be professionally cleaned.

Great vacation
The Pelican Perch in the Truman Annex was everything we hoped for. Clean, cozy, near pool, near the nightlife of Duval Street and quite evenings. Looking forward to the next time we go back.

Everything was nice, and what we needed for our stay. I will say the kitchen was a bit smaller than expected. If you’re planning on cooking a lot, keep that in mind. Also the placement of the downstairs bathroom is a little awkward. Not a deal breaker, but something to keep in mind.

A little slice of paradise
Our stay at Pelican's Perch was wonderful. The property was clean, bathrooms updated, and ample linens were provided. The kitchen is really small and the dining area was super cramped with a large tables and many chairs, which was difficult to move around, but we made it work. We weren't able to get the TVs to work, and we are pretty techy savvy, but this wasn't the end of the world, although it would have been nice to have listened to music channels, etc... The patio furniture was less than comfortable so we didn't spend much time out there which was disappointing. Two lounge chairs did show up on the patio near the end of our week, which was a nice surprise, but a more comfortable outdoor set up would add so much more to this property. All in all we were satisfied and had a blast! The location is awesome and it had everything we needed! Would recommend this property and we may even return again next year!!!

Overall, the Truman Annex is lovely and the location is perfect
Overall, the Truman Annex is lovely and the location is perfect! It’s its own little paradise tucked away from the hustle. We will stay in the Truman Annex again. The Pelican’s Perch and its inviting front porch was perfect for relaxing anytime of day. The main living room was spacious and comfortable, as well as the remolded bathrooms are nicely done.
